The museum’s radio station, call sign W7MHM, is now active on the W4DUX repeater system. It can be accessed on the 2-meter VHF frequency of 147.255 MHz with a +0.600 MHz offset and a PL tone of 136.5 Hz. Currently, amateur radio volunteers staff the station every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During this time, visitors—both students and adults—have the chance to get on the air, make QSOs, and connect with operators around the world. Be sure to check in and join the fun! We have several volunteers at the museum assisting with activities, but we rely on support from the broader amateur radio community to help make these contacts possible. If you're outside the local PG area, DMR TG 3555 and the EchoLink node W4DUX-R are great options—and the younger participants especially enjoy using them. We have included a W7MHM QSO Guide for you that may assist in the QSOs with visitors from the museum. |
